Michaela Clarke is a 2 time nominee of the Alberta Country Music Awards. Her accolades include: opening for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, being nominated for Female Artist of the year, Fans Choice, and song of the year at the Alberta Country Music Awards. Her single “Long Gone” was featured in the movie “Fire with Fire”, starring Bruce Willis in 2012. She has performed at the Canadian Country Music Awards on the Diamonds int he Rough stage for two consecutive years.
In 2011, Michaela released her first EP album to Canadian Radio and went on to release 7 singles to radio stations across Canada. Michaela’s charismatic personality, her love for music, and her knowledge of the industry landed her a position at her local radio station as the Afternoon Drive Show Host. In January of 2015, Michaela made the decision to move to Nashville so she could pursue her songwriting career full-time, while collaborating with other artists and taking in the city that started it all.
Michaela inspired individuals with her songwriting career, by spreading the message that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to no matter what obstacles you might be facing. As a former Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Youth Ambassador at the Edmonton chapter, Michaela strives to raise awareness for other children and young adults, who like her, live with Type One Diabetes. She has performed her original song “Toughest Kids Alive” on Global News Television, as well as at the JDRF Gala in Edmonton, Alberta. Since moving to Nashville, Michaela has continued her mission by volunteering with the Juvenile Diabetes Middle Tennessee Chapter.
Michaela continues to sing from her heart, write songs to inspire the world, and to connect with others through her music. Armed with a unique voice and ability to tell stories through her songs, Michaela’s budding career marks the arrival of an exciting addition to the newest generation of country music.
